Message from Our Church

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website so you can get to know us.

We are a multi-cultural church that cares about you. Our aim is to reflect the love of God so that you will feel loved and at home in our church family. Our desire is to be the type of church that is described in the Bible, to teach the biblical way of salvation and to worship the Lord Jesus Christ from the heart. We believe in the power of God to change lives through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and encourage each person to seek such a relationship.

We also believe in the miraculous power of God to heal and deliver from any type of sickness or situation. If you have a situation that needs prayer, please click here and complete the form.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”

John 3:16

Ministries

At the Pentecostals of Brisbane we want to meet the needs of the community in which we live and so we offer a diverse range of Ministries which include:

Bible Studies

Are you curious about God, about the Bible and what it means? Do you wonder about its relevance to your life? Do you have questions about what is happening in the world today and how the Bible relates to it? We have a number of different Bible studies that can be done on a one-to-one basis or as a group in the comfort of your own home/coffee shop/park; at a time convenient to you.

They range from 1 hour in total to 1 hour per week over a period of up to 12 weeks depending upon what you choose.
All Bible studies are completely free!

Childrens’ Ministry

We receive all children gladly and welcome them to the Pentecostals of Brisbane. During our Sunday morning service, we have Sunday school for children aged 4 to 13. While the parents are enjoying the service their children are being taught the things of God in a loving and caring environment. The children learn songs, hear bible stories, do arts and crafts, dress up and make new friends.

Our teachers and assistants are all holders of ‘Blue Cards’ (Working with Children permits). To ensure the safety of children, all children must be checked in and checked out of Sunday School by a registered authorised person. Click here to download booklet outlining what happens in Sunday School.

Womens Ministry

Women need women! Our mission is to exalt the Lord Jesus by empowering women to discover and realise their value and worth to God, to their families and to their communities.

We believe in the power of the cross and its proclamation through an empowered army of women to help bring healing to a hurting world. We are women that pray, disciple and worship together fulfilling our God-given destiny on this earth.

We join together at various times for prayer, teaching and fellowship. See the calendar to find out when we are meeting. We enjoy times of learning which helps us grow and mature in Christ and times of fun and friendship together. We learn skills such as cake decorating, knitting, sewing and other fun crafts; and we also have times relaxing and laughing together at a high tea or a picnic, toasting marshmallows around a campfire and doing what women do best….. talk.

We welcome all women to join us for these times.

Mens Ministry

We desire that our men will grow in the Lord and therefore have better relationships as believers, husbands, and fathers.

We meet on Saturday mornings fortnightly to do church maintenance and have fellowship with one another.

We also have fishing and camping trips, games and other fun activities that help to form strong bonds with one another. Our Men’s Ministry is a place of love and encouragement amongst men.

Bible College

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Timothy 2:15.

We offer a Certificate in Evangelism course followed by a Diploma course for those interested in knowing more about the Word of God. Classes are held weekly in the evenings or during the day.

There are pre-requisites to enrolling for these courses.

Stop By and Say Hello!

We are to love God and love others. We must seek to live a life that is pleasing to him both inwardly and outwardly – in our thoughts, words, and actions. “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.” (Titus 2:11-12)

Meet Our Pastors

Frank & Vivienne Imarisio

In February 2015 Frank & Vivienne were installed as Pastors of the Pentecostals of Brisbane. They have a passion for souls and a desire to see people grow spiritually. They both love teaching Bible studies and meeting people for coffee.

Pray For Me

We believe in the power of prayer.
Recently through prayer, Jesus has healed two people of diabetes and one
from an incurable disease – cirrhosis of the liver!
We have all had times in our lives where we were overwhelmed with our situation.
Whether there is sickness, financial burden, job loss, loneliness… whatever your need, we will pray for you.

What we Believe

About the Bible
The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living (II Timothy 3:15-17).

About God
There is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man (Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16).

About Sin and Salvation
Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ (Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9).

About the Gospel
The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection) (I Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4).

About Christian Living
As Christians we are to love God and others. We should live a holy life inwardly and outwardly, and worship God joyfully. The supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including healing, are for the church today (Mark 12:28-31; II Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; I Corinthians 12:8-10).

About the Future
Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away His church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous eternal death (I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11 15).
